We sourced a highly qualified paediatrician who provided an expert witness report on how the injuries could have been caused to help the people involved determine whether sexual abuse had taken place.
Case: Serious sexual assault.
We provided a child psychologist expert witness who filed a report to determine whether the adolescent had any issues or learning disabilities that affected their criminal activity.
Case: Assault with intent and escaped from custody.
A psychologist expert report was needed to identify whether the person could formulate intent and assault the officer.
Case: Unexplained injuries.
We found an expert paediatrician who completed a report on how each of the injuries could have been caused and whether or not it was accidental.
Case: Recurring seizures
We provided a Neurologist expert report to conclude if the mix of medication and his disposal to seizures could have made him seem drunk.
Case: Suggestibility of the accused
Psychiatrist assessed the effect the pressures of the trial might have upon the accused and the impact of the actions of their carers. Also to look at the reliability of their admissions.
Case: Severe mental scarring can drive individuals to commit a crime.
A Psychologist expert witness was brought in to diagnose if PTSD was a contributing factor for criminality in an ongoing criminal case.
Case: Undiagnosed mental illness at the time the offence was committed.
A psychiatrist expert was sourced to help determine whether the individual in question was suffering from an undiagnosed mental illness. The psychiatrist was asked to also highlight whether this has affected their behaviour at all.
Case: Understanding the relationship between the physical brain and our behaviour.
In this case, a Neuropsychologist expert was brought in to determine whether Asperger’s influenced an individual’s social functioning which led to the crime being committed.
